The Chicken Fight
Slide 1

The Playground Gladiators πŸ“βš”οΈ

Before smartphones, recess in Korea wasn’t spent quietly sitting under a tree πŸ“±πŸš«.
It was spent in the dirt, brutally bashing your kneecaps into your best friends! πŸ’₯
Welcome to 닭싸움 (Dakssaum / Chicken Fight), a bizarre, one-legged wrestling game that turns perfectly decent children into violently hopping human battering rams! 🐏
Slide 2

Forging the Weapon πŸ›‘οΈ

You cannot use your hands! They are currently busy acting as handcuffs! ⛓️
To enter “Chicken Mode,” you must violently pull one foot up to the center of your body and lock it in place with both hands πŸ”’.
This turns your exposed protruding knee into both your primary shield and your only physical weapon! πŸ›‘οΈβš”οΈ You are now a hopping triangle! β–³
Slide 3

Gravity is the Enemy βš–οΈ

It is a game of pure, agonizing balance βš–οΈ! The conditions to lose are absolute:
1. The Drop: If the foot you are holding slips, unclasps, and touches the ground for even a millisecond… OUT! ⬇️
2. The Fall: If the massive kinetic impact of your opponent forces your hopping leg to collapse and you completely fall over in the dirt… OUT! πŸ’₯
3. The Release: If your hands let go of your ankle… OUT! πŸ‘
Slide 4

The Hammer Strike πŸ”¨

The most terrifying offensive maneuver is the 찍기 (Jjikgi / Down-Smash)! πŸ—οΈ
Instead of horizontally bumping their opponent, a strong player will jump violently into the air and slam their massive locked knee straight down onto the top of their enemy’s knee πŸ’₯!
If executed perfectly, the immense weight causes the opponent’s grip to explode, forcing their foot instantly to the ground! πŸͺ¨
Slide 5

The Matador Step πŸ‚

But strength isn’t everything! The lighter, faster players utilize the λ°€κΈ° (Milgi / Push & Dodge)! πŸŒͺ️
When a massive opponent comes bounding toward them with unstoppable momentum, the smaller player simply performs a tiny, frantic horizontal side-hop at the last second! πŸ•΄οΈ
Without an opponent to crash into, the massive attacker’s own weight and momentum pull them violently face-first into the dirt! πŸ‚πŸ’₯
Slide 6

The One-Legged War πŸ›‘οΈ

1-on-1 is fun, but true playground legends are born in the 단체전 (Danche-jeon / Group Battle)! βš”οΈ
Entire classes of thirty students will divide into two massive armies πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ.
It becomes an incredibly strategic, terrifying medieval melee! You must protect your team’s flanks, gang up on massive threats, and watch out for cowardly enemies attacking you from the blind spot behind your back! πŸ—‘οΈ
Slide 7

The Thigh Burn πŸ”₯

You haven’t truly played Dakssaum until your left calf feels like it is physically melting into lava πŸŒ‹.
Hopping on a single, bent leg while holding 40 pounds of your own body weight rapidly destroys your quadriceps πŸ”₯.
Often in a match, nobody even hits anyone! One person simply succumbs to sheer, agonizing muscle cramps and drops their leg in defeat! 🏳️
Slide 8

The Winner’s Potion 🍢πŸ’ͺ

Today, Dakssaum is still fiercely played at University orientations and corporate team-building retreats 🏒.
It is the fastest way to break the ice and induce massive, nostalgic laughter πŸ˜‚!
And when the brutal, one-legged melee is finally over, the undisputed champion is immediately crowned and rewarded with a heavy, deeply restorative, cold bowl of JS Brewery Makgeolli 🍢! The ultimate painkiller! 🌾
Slide 9

The Ultimate Collision πŸ’₯

Could you hop on one leg long enough to survive a battle? Do you rely on the crushing, massive “Hammer Smash” or the evasive “Matador Dodge”? πŸ”¨πŸ‚ Let us know! πŸ‘‡
